The Deal.
David King's (American Used) email to me about the collection;
“What we have is a very dry clean old truck with minor rust in one cab corner and some old damage on one fender that has been patched but need to finished off.
PS the pic is the truck on my buddies trailer on the way home .
The truck is dead stock down to the hub caps the body is very very good, looks to have been paint with a brush at some stage which is peeling of but more than likely saved the body for rust.
The motor turns over and is not locked up but the sump is off for what reason we don’t know . The good thing about the truck is it will get though SA rego as its un touched and not a rust bucket
The guy would not budge on the price and his Phone was ringing while Ken was inspecting the truck with 2 more guys arrived while Ken was there to look at the truck ( and were dam pissed when Ken said I will take it )
You are welcome to it at the $4000.00 we paid as we went there to look at it for you and it was to clean to pass up so I told Ken the Grab it.”
After the deal in California.
David King's next email;
“Attached pics of the truck looks poor due to the brush on paint
The body is very straight and clean with minor rust the worse being one of the lower cab corners . As stated the good thing she is dead stock and complete and very good value at the price we paid .
I will get import approval under way, the truck will go to a warehouse in Hayward CA to await shipping we will not ship her out until we have the import approval this will take 4/5 week to get then shipping will take another 4/6 weeks so we will not see the truck for 12/13 weeks .”
